QA Engineer

Job Description:

At RCxRules, we develop and deliver solutions that leverage rule-writing and automation capabilities to improve healthcare information quality and reduce costs. We are looking for a QA Engineer to come join our small, cutting-edge team. This position can be remote or based in our lakeside office on the Hula campus in Burlington, Vermont.

Do you have an understanding of physician billing, enjoy testing and finding bugs, and have a passion for quality software? In this position, you will write and execute test cases to effectively and efficiently test new product features and prepare documentation for general availability. As the QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the physician office billing workflow is captured and challenged during the test phase of development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in design reviews
  • Develop and execute functional tests based on design, requirements, and customer workflows
  • Develop and execute automated regression tests
  • Troubleshoot issues and report them to engineering
  • Participate in regression testing
  • Participate in quarterly CMS code update testing
  • Provide frontline support to beta customers
  • Troubleshoot and report beta client issues
  • Manage issues list from internal testing and beta testing
  • Escalate issues in a timely fashion and as appropriate
  • Review user documentation and provide feedback
  • Support and coordinate with team members and other departments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or computer science, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a software tester
  • Familiarity working with SQL, running scripts and VMs
  • Experience working in healthcare software preferable
  • Knowledge of HCC coding preferable
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer company drug screen and background investigation
  • Must currently be legally authorized to work in the United States
